Were Golf MK4s too expensive? When i lived in Poland every 18-21 year old used to own one. Usually completely blacked out with a cone filter

Have you guys taken a break from high budget film and decided to sit in the living room with a camera for a while, because it seems that way.

Trust me the 106 is a fun little gokart on the road. Even though it's not powerful, you can throw it in corners and have fun at 35 mph.
Drove one for a few months on the hills of Burgundy in France.October 12, 2019 at 11:38 am #87147planes124
Good car tbh and the saxos I had a VTR and currently use a 106. Fun cheap cars.

Damn it, you made me want my old red 106 1.1XR back! And it was my first car. Though insurance in Slovenia is much cheaper, I think it was like 600€.

Small 1st car to keep insurance down is a bit of a myth… My daughter is 21,just bought her first car. She got a 2005 volvo S40 2.4 with fsh and 12 my months mot for £980. Insurance with a curfew would have been less than £1000, she went for fully comp with black box and it cost £1200.

Do an old persons car for 3000
October 12, 2019 at 11:38 am #87158TheEpicCrumpet
Now you see I was very sensible when I bought my first car about a year ago.
I went out and bought the very cheapest is200 on gumtree before checking insurance
I still don't have insurance(still don't have my license but that still doesn't mean I can afford it 😂)
At least its different though? 😂October 12, 2019 at 11:38 am #87159Jeff Bumgravy

its the reason why so many cars are driven without insurance in the UK. the Police dont even make a dent in the number because as soon as they remove a car – that person just goes out and buys another.
Who can blame them when a car is £500 and the insurance is £2000+.
I have a car but its in my Dads name (for ex wife reasons) – And most insurance companies want £1500+ Thats with full no claims, no points, nothing. Yet the same car with my name on it would cost me £300. Its a complete scam
But the insurance companies have been allowed to break the law for years and nothing is done about it. the industry is a scam – but as they pay the political parties lots of money – it will never be looked into.
The very fact you can buy "no claims" protection – proves its a scam.October 12, 2019 at 11:38 am #87168Charlie Kilo

It's utterly despicable how expensive it is for young people to get a car on the road.
The economy absolutely depends on the mobility of our youth and to price them off the roads – the very mechanism that drives economic success is a scandal and will eventually harm us all.

October 12, 2019 at 11:38 am #87173The Comet
It's always amazed me, how our so called vulnerable young adults only legal way onto the road is to drive a dangerous highly unsafe piece of crap! Yet were constantly told young ppl are our future and to keep them safe lol.
