If you need a lot of space to haul big kids and all their stuff, the interior of the 2019 Chevy Traverse promises cargo space, seating room, and a roomier approach …

You are my favorite reviewer on Edmunds! Your reviews are more like that guy Johnny on motortrend or wherever it was Carlos used to work. It seems everyone else on Edmunds is boring now (even Carlos!). Thanks for having a lively and entertaining review

I don’t like the fact that the “other than black” interior is only available on the top trim level. I don’t do black.

Your are hilarious and as well a great reviewer, keep them coming. Well done, Is it able to be full stop and go cruise control and does it come with rain sensing wipers?

Does the 2019 have a shut off for the auto start/stop engine feature?

More family people would probably find this rig more useful when they desire the Tahoe/Yukon. And they'd save 20K.

Largest crossover available along with Enclave. Car & Driver got 27 mpg at 75 mph on their 200 mile test. No other SUV can match that.

I like the Traverse. But Elena was right, most American car companies should get with the program. The Japanese and Korean competition, offer way more standard. And in all trims. I'd pick the Traverse over the Sorento for HP and roominess. But I like the Traverse premiere with the redline package. And another issue I wanted to point out was, why didn't they bring the roomy cargo area behind the third row concept, into the Tahoe? I mean even Ford has that. And yeah, no forward collision alert? What? This is really essential when parallel parking and when someone has teen drivers. Lol.

Looks good inside and out. They just have to extend warranty so it’s good for five years and 60,000 miles before it can be considered ahead of Toyota and Honda. Otherwise, stick with the Japanese.

I will be buying a traverse pretty soon. But no way I'll be paying 55k for the high country. I want the LT with awd

And a special bonus. If you have it repainted yellow you can fulfill that secret ambition to drive a school bus. 🙂

This is a horrendous vehicle in terms of reliability. Just read the consumer reviews.

Pricing is out-to-lunch on these. Probably $10k-15k too high. The new Kia Telluride and Hyundai Pallisade offer better value, build quality and reliability for less money. I assume dealers offer steep discounts to move these.

I know that it's just a joke that you're demonstrating but if you can't park your car forward without the need for a parking sensor, then you shouldn't be driving at all.

In real life this car is quite good looking.  Chevy really nailed a nice design.  Unfortunately, the reliability of Chevy in general will keep me away…

Most parents aren't smart enough to use a smart phone and you think they will find some hidden menu to be able to track what their kids are doing? LOL Unless they are one of those crazy anti vax moms, good luck.

Our little kids (3 & 5) use the charge ports for their iPads. Our best mileage was 35.8 over 50 miles of LA traffic with high speed and low speed and we average 27 plus mpg when driving from LA to Oregon keeping within the 5 mph of the speed limit. We love our 2019 Traverse more than we did our 2013 Traverse and the 2013 took a special spot in our family as it gave its life to save ours (head on with drunk driver who was exceeding 60 mph).

It’s funny to think that the traverse has a better third row than the tahoe.

Failed to mention the high country is close to 60k. And more suited for Grand parents with teenaged Grand kids lol. I'm in the market to purchase a new midsized 3 row within the next few months and they all seem about $10k overpriced. Leaning towards Atlas but not sure I can trust it to not leave my family stranded on the drive home one day. (previous Touareg owner. Loved it til it died at 170k miles) But it has the best blend of style, spaciousness, tech, and comfort. Waiting to drive the Telluride to make our final decision.

The problem with GM is, after KNOWINGLY installing faulty ignition switches for 6 YEARS AND BEGGING for a BAILOUT while doing so, how could anyone trust them?? Why would any American want to buy from a company that's already screwed them twice?? That's twice if you've been smart enough to never actually buy one! Do you really believe they wouldn't do it again?

Nice review and thanks for calling out the differences with the competition. I appreciate the pros/cons you mention without it all being positive. I like the teen driver report, infotainment system, spacious cabin, exterior cams and phone charging spots. I think I would still opt for the Mazda CX-9, but this is not a bad 3 row SUV.
