Everyone’s hating on the CVT. They may be boring but they do have their pros. They get good gas mileage, and they make the most of a small amount of power

Great review. Nice looking car. I have had 3 Hyundai's in the UK and they have all been excellent. Superb build quality and totally reliable. Now on the Tucson and its amazingly quiet.

For those that don’t like the CVT…get over it! Yes, the early generation suffered from noise and reliability issues, as well as a different sensory experience that many found unpleasant. The newer designs have addressed these concerns, including a simulated “shift” sensation, which personally I find silly in a non-sports car, but if it makes people more comfortable, so be it. The reality is they will be with us for the foreseeable future given the added performance and fuel economy they eek out of smaller motors. The 41 MPG in this Elantra is within hybrid territory, without the need for more complex and expensive solutions. For most daily drivers, a modern CVT works just fine.😊

Good review guys. I assume the engine is not direct gasoline injected? Hope not. I think Hyundai back in 2018 decided not to go that route for better eng reliability. As in no carbon buildup. It stays on my shopping list with a 3K rebate of course. Also like the non-annoying cvt and mpg.

Nice to see Hyundai didn't cheapen out with steel wheels on this trim, which I feel they could've easily done even on this SEL trim; since it's only a step above base.

Looks like a cross between the Ioniq and the I30 fastback.

The Hyundai Elantra offers a reasonable price for so much safety features and other equipment, I believe Hyundai/Kia has changed a lot since 2016.
    Thanks for the detailed review.

It looks nice, but a CVT just never seems to work out correctly.

I appreciate your perspective, especially considering that you own a previous version of the same car. It does add some weight to your comment. Been following up your videos lately, very professional. Keep up your good work gyus

Great! Hyundai just lost customers. Making the front grille so ugly, and adding the CVT was the worst possible decision.
