Leave battery connected is my preferred method, rubber booties for securely placing the + alt post under a little anti spark… saves me time. Those idle related issues, ect… after a battery after a disconnect is a pain in the hoo haa sometimes. So if I can I very carefully go straight for it. I have my days when it's just not gona happen.
