I just saw a competitive test with the GT500 against a Hellcat (707 hp) and a Ferrari 812 SF. The Ferrari absolutely destroyed the GT500, put several greyhound bus lengths on it. The Hellcat however, only got beat off the line by a few cars and held the gap. GT500: 3.7 sec 0-60, Hellcat: 4.3 sec… GT500 1/4: 11.4@132, Hellcat: 11.7@125. The Ferrari did 3.1 sec 0-60 and 10.5@137mph. Almost every video I have seen of this new GT500 is disappointing. It seems to cut timing and bog for 1 sec on launches. A good example is DragTimes smoking a stock new GT500 and a 850+ hp GT500 in 0-70 runs in his stock Ford GT. He put a good grayhoubd bus length on both of those GT500's. This is why never buy first or even 2nd year of s totally new anything, especially vehicles. Might as well enjoy it now though as cars like this will not be street legal by 2024 or 25. And Ford really needs to keep the Mustang name off of any non-car vehicles. Chevy has a electric SS though.
