The Datsun/Nissan 240Z has become an icon. In it's day, it was just a Datsun. But I liked it in spite of almost everybody else. The Toyota Supra became popular over night almost an instant hit like the MR 2. The Nissan Accura is getting popular. The Mazda RX7/8 were always popular, however a lot of them spent a lot of time in the workshop. The Wankelmotor could be tuned like no other, but never proved to be reliable. You don't see an NSU RO 80, or a Citroën GS Wankel for that matter. Not only were numbers limited, so was durability. The Mazda was no exception. However it's a drivers car by all means.
