Today we’re going to install some tube fenders on my brothers TJ! The brand is Barricade Offroad (not a sponsor) and my first impressions are that they seem …

Flat top fenders always look great on the Wranglers (CJ style). Would be interesting what the park and turn signal lights will look like. Thanks

Nate love your videos. You need to quit working on those other ugly rigs and fix the CJ with a flat thats been sitting there forever!!!

I put a set of these on my wrecked TJ.ย  They are super cheap but seem ok.ย  They have started to rust after a year of use.ย  But for the price I will just buy another set in 4 or 5 years.

Nice job Nate, the little battery like tray, I think it's the mounting plate for the ABS unit…so no harm done ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have similar fenders and definitely regret putting them on. They look cheap and have started rusting. Gonna be putting on aluminum genrights in the future

Hey what size tires are those and how many inches of lift does he have on that Jeep. I like the stance it has.

Did this to my YJ simple project as long as your careful as you mentioned. I was able to do most mine with turbo shears IMO less likely to rust. What I did with a cut off wheel I cut strong and shaved with bulldog snips, just a little tip for all commenting about rust. Other wise clean and prime well with a coat of paint should eliminate the rust issue.

What do you do for rust protection between the double sheats of metal and cutting edges?

Nice job , it fits in better with the front tube bumper ๐Ÿ‘ you could straighten it up for him as well ๐Ÿ˜‰

The barricade fenders rust like a son of a gun… If you live somewhere they salt the roads think twice… if your state has safety inspections for your license plates make sure you get DOT approved lights.

Great video. I have been wanting to do that to my TJ but I do not have the nerve to cut my fenders.

Seems like a lot of work for tube fenders.

Cause I live in the Northeast. All that cutting, all I see is future rust. If I were to do this, prep, prime, paint, and seal everything…..with like 3 coats of everything. Even using caulk on the seams. I'm having to redo my rear bumper AGAIN….cause the paint I used was not water tight enough. So much wire wheeling.

I like how they add more ventilation for the engine compartment without opening the wheel well.

I had the same issue with another style fender and the battery box. The second one went way faster.

That would be funny if that siren on top of that imposter battery tray, is the unit that is the talking unit… (((("PLEASE STEP AWAY, PROTECTED BY VIPER SECURITY SYSTEM!!!"…. "WAAAAA – WAAAAA – WHOOOOP – EEET – EEET – EEET"…)))) … LOL

I hope Iโ€™m not the only one who closed my eyes when you were blowing the drill shavings off the fender.

Thanks Nate. Good advice, as usual.

all this cutting really doesn't make it worth the slightly lower price, plus you can never go back. In my opinion spend another $200 and get the metalcloak which are bolt on and look way better.
