Phevs are next best thing future for motoring enthusiasts. Bevs will be for non motoring enthusiasts (usage for normal everyday life). A Plug in hybrid with e85 and a manual transmission would work.

Good thing about phevs are it's the Best of both worlds so us motoring enthusiasts can still enjoy like what we have today without impacting on the environment. I heard some rumors saying they'll stop making phevs from 2030 but that's not true. Phevs will continue beyond 2030 for motoring enthusiasts only and non car lover's with bevs. No need for many petrol stations ever suburb would need just one or two each but not many like what we have.

Phevs will continue to improve the electric rangers so there comparable to bevs. E.g mini cooper s JCW with a manual transmission.

Yes it's high time for innovation and it's integration to move ahead and explore the possibilities but it shouldn't be PHEV the engine should only act as a range extender DC fast charger but until that transition PHEV are good options, Hyundai ionic and Renault captur are good options but Ferrari's PHEV is a crude joke.

Hybrid vehicles are wannabe EV"s. And are for people who have range anxieties. They also increase their maintenance costs due to the additional technology and more complicated Drive systems. The sooner people get into fully electric vehicles the better it'll be for all. People will discover how much better they are and the over all efficiencies & improvements they achieve.

these cars are for rich people who still want to bring their nasty i.c.e. cars into the cities who have banned i.c.e. cars. secondly, they still don't make batteries in any quantity to actually make a fully electric car. so…still not trying.
