The real difference on gas grade is really the engine detonation (early ignition causes by high temperature of carbon deposited on the engine valves) that can damage the engine, the v power protect the engine from detonation, whereas the regular gas can cause detonation if the engine has carbon deposit on the valves and the pistons.

Good video but—as for the Shell advertising–gas is gas in the US. The only thing that really makes any difference is the octane rating.
